This Privacy Policy governs the collection, processing, and storage of personal data exclusively in relation to users connecting to and interacting with the Space Station 14 (SS14) servers operated by Sandwich Station (hereinafter referred to as "the Operator").
Data Sourcing: When a User utilizes the optional Account Link Service, the Operator obtains specific user profile data exclusively from the upstream provider, Space Wizards (WizDen). We do not generate or collect this data independently; it is imported directly from WizDen's infrastructure upon successful linking.
Retained Data Fields: Upon linking, the Operator retains the following data points imported from WizDen: UUID, Name, Preferred Username, Email, Email Verified Status, Family Name, Given Name, Middle Name, Nickname, Profile URL, Picture URL, Website, Gender, Birthdate, Zoneinfo, Locale, and Updated At.
Purpose of Retention: The Operator does not actively collect or utilize personal details such as given name, family name, birthdate, or similar fields. These data points are imported and retained solely as a precautionary backup in the event that WizDen ceases operations or shuts down its infrastructure. Given the current instability within the WizDen organization due to internal staff disagreements, such a scenario is considered plausible. Should WizDen become unavailable, the Operator would rely on this imported data to maintain account continuity and prevent loss of user profiles.
Storage: This imported data is stored on the Operator's infrastructure to facilitate account identification, role assignment, and enforcement of server-wide bans. This data remains associated with the User's local server account indefinitely until the User activates the "GDPR Removal" button.
For all connections (linked or unlinked), the Operator performs automated logging of technical identifiers: Internet Protocol (IP) address, Hardware Identifier (HWID), and the unique Account UUID or username utilized for authentication. Furthermore, the Operator shall maintain comprehensive logs of all in-game actions performed by the User, strictly associating such activities with the aforementioned Account UUID. Additionally, any data explicitly inputted by the User, including but not limited to character configurations and preferences, shall be stored on the Operator's infrastructure.
Connection logs, inclusive of IP addresses and Hardware Identifiers, shall be disclosed solely to authorized server administrators for the purpose of enforcing server regulations, including the imposition of administrative sanctions such as bans. Such connection logs shall remain confidential and shall not be disseminated to the general public.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, logs pertaining to in-game actions may be made publicly accessible to facilitate transparency in rule enforcement. This disclosure scope extends to private communications conducted between Users and server administrators within the game environment.
Access Denial for High-Risk Individuals: The Operator reserves the absolute right to deny access to the game servers to any User identified as a "high-risk" player. This classification includes, but is not limited to, individuals appearing on public ban lists, those with a history of severe rule violations on affiliated servers, or those exhibiting patterns of disruptive behavior. Such denial of access may occur prior to connection establishment and does not require prior notification.
Automated Systems and Botting: The use of automated systems, macros, bots, or any unauthorized third-party software designed to automate gameplay actions, gain unfair advantages, or interact with the server without direct human input is strictly prohibited. Users found to be engaging in such activities shall be subject to an immediate and permanent ban from the Operator's game servers. Furthermore, such violations constitute a breach of the "Space Wizards (WizDen)" account policy, and the Operator shall report offending Users to the appropriate upstream authorities for further disciplinary action, which may include termination of the User's Space Wizards account.
Harassment and Legal Action: Any instance of harassment, threats, or malicious conduct directed towards other Users or staff members will be treated with the utmost severity. The Operator shall preserve all relevant logs and evidence and reserve the right to forward such information to the appropriate law enforcement authorities for investigation and prosecution.
Prospective Users, particularly those initiating their first connection, may have their IP addresses transmitted to the third-party service "IPIntel" for the purpose of validating connection integrity and mitigating Virtual Private Network (VPN) usage. The Operator reserves the right to deny connections originating from high-risk jurisdictions or known VPN providers, as such channels are frequently utilized to circumvent administrative sanctions. Users seeking an exemption from this restriction must formally petition the Operator via the designated Discord channel; upon approval, the User's IP address shall be excluded from transmission to IPIntel.
Furthermore, certain user interactions, including Out-of-Character (OOC) communications and direct correspondence with server staff, may be relayed to the Operator's official Discord community. Consequently, such interactions are subject to logging and retention policies applicable to the Discord platform.
